| Java vs .NET http://www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/stories/story/0%2C10738%2C2830227%2C00.html I'm not particularly convinced by this guy's argument that it's an "either/or" thing with Java and .NET and that those who make the wrong decision are doomed. He hasn't mentioned it, but of course there's the Wrox Hailstorm book too, a rather nice introduction from what I have seen. Who here has successfully implemented Alerts? How did you find it? Carroll darthcarroll@asplists.com Is the whole My Services thing ready enough yet that I can do something simple, like send a .NET alert to myself as a test? MS cranks out millions of .NET alerts each day (half of them come to me for every email I get while I'm at work...), so obviously the system works well and is stable. Can we star... |

| Will .NET Alerts be able to spam you where ever you are? Recently on the microsoft.beta.netmyservices.core services.net alerts newsgroup Mary Deyo asked a question regarding the use of .NET alerts and what she called 'Broadcast Notifications'. Here is what she said: ## We are considering .NET Alerts for an application where large numbers (thousands) of subscribers might routinely be receiving the ... |
