Summary:
In one of my previous contributions I demonstrated a way to edit database data in the asp.net datagrid component. Before and after that many more (good) stories have appeared on this matter. The most of these stories work with an ad-hoc list of data and not on a live database. As the latter introduces some pitfalls and the datagrid component is really popular I will take another look at the matter, again through the eyes of a developer used to tools like Delphi or VS rather then ASP.
