Greetings,
I am attempting to use a
MemoryStream
and
BinaryFormatter
to serialize all
the state of an object. It appears to serialize just fine, but deserializing
is a problem. I get "BinaryFormatter Version incompatibility" on the
Deserialize call of the
BinaryFormatter
object and I have no idea why that
is. I happen to be passing it a byte array that IT gave ME in the first
place when I called the Serialize method.
Can anyone help or offer insight?

Russ,
Could you post up a code sample which demonstrates
the problem? Makes it easier to diagnose if we have
code to work from instead of rolling our own.

It was actually an error on my part - the serialized byte array was NOT the
same going in as it was coming out. Once I fixed that problem, the
serialization and deserialization worked fine.
Thanks!
