Hi all,

I've been working with ADO.Net and SQLServer for a long time and I
wanted to try doing similar stuff with Oracle ..But I'm unable to
establish a simple connection to my oracle backend ..can someone
please give me some sample code of selecting data from an Oracle
backend ...
Also what Oracle components need to be setup on my machine ?
Do I need to download some drivers .. I 'm currently running Oracle 8
client on
my machine and I can connect to the backend using SQL*Plus ...

Please help !

Thanks,
Shalini

<P>If you are with Oracle 8.1.7, Then I can help you. I did with that database.<BR>You can use oledb.<BR>Rather I suggest you to download Oracle.Net Beta from MSDN. After Installing it.<BR>In you application Refer System.Data.OracleClient into your page.<BR>Next Every thing is similar. You just have to call OracleConnection etc.<BR>Once you download, It will provide you SDK. That will help you how you can code.</P>
