Not sure the best place to post this - so I posted to config and
freeforall...
Is there a way to not have your connect strings available in the
web.config file?=20
I like the fact that we can just push our dll to the hosting
environment, but would feel better if our connection strings could be in
the compiled app also...
...or is it?

You could also create a shared Method in your Global.asx.vb codebehind
file
Or a static method if you are using C#
And that method can return the connection string.
You then get at your method this way.
Global.GetConnectionString()
