Hello everyone.
I just started working through a few Web Services tutorials and
encountered a strange problem. I cannot find the wsdl.exe file, which
is needed to consume a web service.
Should I reinstall asp.net or is there some other way to go about
getting the file?
**I needed to configure the PATH environment variable for wsdl, like I
did for vbc.exe.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Glenn

I think that is only part of the SDK, not the minimal install. If you have
the SDK installed, it should be located at C:\Program
Files\Microsoft.NET\FrameworkSDK\Bin

Is the problem that you cannot find the .NET utility file "wsdl.exe", or
that you cannot locate the WSDL file generated by your web service?
There is a utility called "wsdl.exe" that is installed with the .NET
Framwork. It is located in the bin directory where you installed the
Framwork SDK. If you are using Visual Studio .NET and accepted the defaults
on installation, it is likely installed at:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET\FrameworkSDK\Bin
Dennis' answer addresses the second possibility: your web service
dynamically creates the WSDL for your web service. Type in the URL to your
web service and append "?wsdl" to the end of it to see the WSDL.
