Greg
I have copied a shortened version of the text file I am trying to import
into my SQL Server database. I can't figure this file format out, can
anybody help me here?, I have no documentation on this file.

Just a guess, but it looks like a fixed length format.

Greg,

That looks like something FTP'ed out of a mainframe using a VSAM file
format. I've worked with those using VB as a front-end to a mainframe
system. Really awesome as the mainframe returns data so much faster than
a SQL Server with a comparative amount of information. If you've worked
in a old-guard banking or insurance industry, you'll see those all the
time...

Later!
