Hello list,

I'm a novice with SQL Server admin. Can anyone tell me what might be causing the error message below and how to fix it?

Login failed for user 'sanet'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection

Let me clarify my last post.
When I installed SQL Server 2000 I think I used Windows Authentication instead of SQL Server Authentication. I have an ASP.Net application using SQL Server with the following connection string
"Data Source=Bones;Initial catalog=MyCat;User Id=sanet;PassWord=pwd"

Can I edit the Windows Authentication Domain, change Authentication to SQL Server Authentication?

>From the SQL Enterprise Manager right click your server to get the
properties.

Select the security tab and switch authentication to "Sql Server and
Windows", restart the service or better yet restart the whole server.
