When I installed SQL Server 2000 I think I used Windows Authentication instead of SQL Server Authentication. I have an ASP.Net application using SQL Server with the following connection string "Data Source=Bones;Initial catalog=MyCat;User Id=sanet;PassWord=pwd" Can I edit the Windows Authentication Domain, change Authentication to SQL Server Authentication? Select the security tab and switch authentication to "Sql Server and Windows", restart the service or better yet restart the whole server. John R.
