Has anyone tried to create a module to retrieve email from an MS Exchange
server?

I assume that there will be a version of the outlook view control soon for .net as they are currently rewriting Sharepoint to be .net compliant (or perhaps totally .net) - who knows.
The outlook view control worked great though with digital dashboard and could possibly work with IBS. You could even modify it to see public folders and one version actually would render the OWA view rather than the activex client.
