Question: Why does the installation for the mobile toolkit require a setup
package? Isn't part of the ASP.Net deployments can just be done via XCOPY?

The setup package installs some assemblies into the global assembly
cache, adds to the browser definitions in the machine.config file, and
registers some designers with Visual Studio .NET.

XCopy installation only works if your application is a stand-alone app.
The mobile internet toolkit has to integrate with a buch of other
things, not all of which are .NET applications (VS.NET, for example).
