I noticed there are already lots of books like "ASP.NET 2.0 Beta First Look"
and likewise for vb.net and C#. When can we expect the same for C++/CLI?

I'm anxious to get all the literature I can on this. Is the delays because
of the complexity of this language combo or what?

C++/CLI will be ready in December. So it is not that far, for a book
about C++/CLI draft to make its appearance. In the meantime, the current
draft is available for free download (as the final document will also
be) from ECMA.

You can download and read it:
