In addition, below is a piece from Windows 2000 Mag who are distinctly
lacking in optimism at Passport.

Hi,
interesting article. However, the following bit:
[Original message clipped]
is sortof happening already. MS hasn't joined the Liberty Alliance (yet)
but they have stated that other Kerberos-based authentication services will
happily co-exist with Passport in a 'Federation of Trust'. It'll be
interesting to see how that works out in practice...

Not completely intertwined with Passport in its self but the use of
financial information with ssi systems.
How do people feel about giving there credit card details to Microsoft or
Sun to hold on to?
How safe would you feel? And would it really depend on what assurances the
companies stated?
I'm pretty pissed that amazon.co.uk keep hold of my credit card details
without asking.
