Peter,

You could probably overlap any resources here and the
resources in the [ngfx-msil] list. While they are slightly different
subjects they are still use pretty much the same reference material.

Here is the list I posted there:

    [DOTNET] Mailing List
    http://discuss.develop.com/dotnet.html

Compiling for the .NET Common Language Runtime
    by John Gough
    ISBN: 0-130-62296-6
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0130622966/

Essential .NET: The Common Language Runtime (Volume 1)
by Don Box and Ted Pattison
    ISBN: 0-201-73411-7
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0201734117/

    Inside Microsoft.NET IL Assembler
    by Serge Lidin
    ISBN: 0-735-61546-0
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0735615470/

You could also look into third-party language implementations
like Eiffel, Mercury and Component Pascal:

    Eiffel
    http://www.eiffel.com

    Mercury
    http://www.cs.mu.oz.au/mercury/

    Component Pascal
    http://www2.fit.qut.edu.au/CompSci/PLAS/ComponentPascal/

These go for the [ngfx-msil] list aswell, there are other
languages but these are the only ones that I have on-hand.
