Does anyone know if it's possible (and if so, how) to
gain access to the SQL database that MSMQ 2.0 uses to
store the messages in the queue?

Thanks!
Marcie

If I remember correctly, MSMQ 2.0 is not built on SQL Server, everything is
in the file system in 2.0.

MSMQ has _never_ stored messages in SQL database. MSMQ 1.0 stored
information about the MSMQ enterprise / sites in a SQL database, but
messages were not in the database. MSMQ 2.0 doesn't use SQL server at
all, the enterprise data is stored in Active Directory.

Message that aren't express messages get written to disk files, in a
directory controlled by the msmq control panel widget.

Cheers
Simon
