Paul,
I have been looking for a webservice, similar to Microsoft's Terraserver,
that would provide street maps. MapPoint .Net seems very promising, but I
don't understand what a MapPoint .NET Solution Provider is? Is Microsoft
going to be providing the webservice to other companies to host?
If I wanted to include MapPoint's maps into my web application then do I
have to become a MapPoint Solution Provider myself?
Thanks,
-Jeff

I'm not really sure about it. I stumbled across the website while being

and felt it appropriate to let this forum know. From
what I've read on the website and what I've heard from other .NET
WebService
applications is that there are a couple of different tiers of
working with Microsoft. It looks like the lowest tier is an end-used who
subscribes to the service directly from Microsoft, a middle tier of
service where an ISV purchases transaction volume and resells the
service inside of their product, and then a partner tier where you get
code running on your box as a reseller. That's what I think, to be
honest I'm not sure that many people outside of Microsoft's inner circle
know what the service pricing structure is going to be.
