Hi Jay,
I'm not sure about the ODBC.NET RTM, but the ODBC.NET Beta1 had this problem with empty strings.
The only solutions we've found was to write a script that when through the DB and checked every
table for char/vchar/datetime columns and changed the empty strings to a space........ Not a
elegant solutions I know, but the only one we knew that worked.
Daniel.

Hey guys-
I am trying to work with mySQL and vb.NET using the odbc.net managed
provider and the myODBC driver. It works great until I try to do something
with data that has fields with null values in them (a "NO_DATA" error
occurs).
Please no posts about why mySQL should not be used and such... I really do
not have the power to make such decisions... I am just trying to make what
was given to me work... If anyone can point me in the right direction, I
would appreciate it.
